Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Audit

Members of the Diversity Council leadership elected to arrange an Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Audit (IDEA) with local equity scholars and Azusa Pacific University colleagues (Drs. Chris Collins, Tabatha Jones Jolivet, and Alex Jun) in order to assess the state of diversity at Fuller as it relates to race, ethnicity, and gender. Although the IDEA was requested as an internal council aid, the Diversity Council decided it was best to release this document publicly for the purposes of transparency and dialogue. The IDEA itself is neither exhaustive nor definitive, but it offers an external perspective on how racial, ethnic, and gender inequities affect our institution in particular. We encourage viewers to read the document along with the cover letter and response written by the Diversity Council.

The IDEA is part of a larger dialogue about diversity, inclusion, and equity at Fuller. To see how Fuller is responding to the conditions described within the audit, visit Fuller.edu/Inclusion. This page will be regularly updated with information about inclusion initiatives at Fuller. It also presents the Strategic Approach Toward Inclusive Excellence, a set of strategies developed by Associate Provost for Faculty Inclusion and Equity, Dr. Alexis Abernethy, in collaboration with the Diversity Council, the directors of the ethnic centers, the Faculty Senate, senior administration, and the Board of Trustees.
