Bio
Richard Goodwin is an affiliate assistant professor of theology and culture at Fuller, where he teaches classes on pop culture and television. He is also deputy principal of Pathways College of Bible and Mission in his native New Zealand. He earned his PhD through the University of Otago (New Zealand) researching theology and film. Prior to that, he earned his MA in Theology from Fuller.
Publications
Dr. Goodwin’s book Seeing Is Believing: The Revelation of God Through Film was published by IVP Academic in 2022. He has also contributed to the T&T Clark Handbook of Modern Theology (forthcoming) with an entry on pop culture. He is also currently writing a chapter on film editing for the Oxford Handbook of Theology and Film (forthcoming). He has published articles and reviews for various academic journals in the field of media and religion.
