Bio

Richard Goodwin is an adjunct assistant professor of theology and culture at Fuller, where he teaches classes on pop culture and television. He is also director of ministry training at Pathways College in his native New Zealand. He earned his PhD, researching theology and film, through the University of Otago (New Zealand). Prior to that, he earned his MA in Theology from Fuller.

Publications

Dr. Goodwin’s book Seeing Is Believing: The Revelation of God Through Film was published by IVP Academic in 2022. He is also currently in the research phase for a contribution to the forthcoming T&T Clark Handbook of Modern Theology about pop culture. He has published an article on the seminal film Ordet in the Journal of Religion and Film, and also contributed book reviews for academic journals in the field of media and religion.
