Tragedy in Thousand Oaks

Our hearts go out to all those affected by the brutal shooting tragedy in Thousand Oaks last night. The random and traumatic shootings have ended innocent lives and sent painful shockwaves through many others directly and indirectly touched. This horrific event has brought such grief to our sister institutions—tragically, California Lutheran University lost a recent alum, and Pepperdine University lost a current student. The son of a Fuller adjunct professor, too, was injured escaping the shooting.

As we continue to pray for all affected by this tragedy, may we also take the steps we believe are needed to respond to gun violence in America.
