Update on Campus Operations and Wild Fire Resources

Updated Saturday January 11, 2025

First responders are working hard to fight the fires in Southern California and to support those who have experienced threat and loss. We see progress, and we are prayerful for continued containment. At the same time, we recognize the devastating effect these fires have caused in our community and beyond. Our prayers are with all those who have been affected during this time.

As the conditions improve, our teams on the Pasadena campus are actively working to clear debris from campus and assess any impacts on our facilities. These efforts will be ongoing as we continue to track advisories and local conditions.

While these efforts are underway, Pasadena-based in-person classes, meetings, and events will be held online for the week of January 13–17, 2025. Online courses will continue as scheduled, though we will be flexible to accommodate students in affected areas. Faculty and staff may voluntarily access their offices as needed to maintain minimum essential operations. The Pasadena campus in-person services, including the library and clinic, will continue to be closed to in-person services, with the exception of Student Housing.

To support students, we are extending the add/drop deadlines and will provide flexibility for those facing challenges. Please contact your professor, advisor, or supervisor to discuss your situation and available options.

Please keep in mind that some faculty and supervisors have been impacted by the fires, so if you do not receive a response, please reach out to The Office of Teaching and Learning ([email protected]) or Human Resources ([email protected] or 626-584-5454), as applicable. We encourage students, staff, and faculty to continue to prioritize their safety and well-being as we make this transition together.

Please keep the following resources in mind if you’ve been impacted by the fires:

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we are striving to be responsive to this dynamic and tragic situation. Fuller is committed to returning to full operations as soon as possible. Please continue to be in prayer for all of our Fuller community in southern California.
