Bio

Ah Young Kim began her studies at Ewha Womans University in South Korea where she majored in philosophy and received her MA in Christianity under the instruction of Dr. Chae Ok Chun. Dr. Kim continued her studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, under the instruction of Islamic expert Dr. Dudley Woodberry and pursued research while living amongst Muslims in Southeast Asia. Kim is currently an associate professor at Torch Trinity Graduate University, heads both the Korea Institute for Islamic Studies as well as the Woodberry Institute for Muslim-Christian Relations as their director. Through her constant scholarly and professional efforts, Kim continues to spearhead the fields of missiology and Islamic studies in South Korea. Her major publications include Islamic Studies 1, 2, 3 (2013) and the translation of From Seed to Fruit (originally by J. Dudley Woodberry, 2018).
