Ellie Derda is a PhD student at Fuller Theological Seminary. Her research explores the function and significance of Jesus’s parables specifically within the context of Luke’s Gospel. Her research interests lie in Jesus’s parables and parallel sayings found within synchronic Greco-Roman and Jewish literature. She aims to shed light on the narratological function of short sayings in Luke that are traditionally not classified as parables.
