Bio

Joshua Payne is an affiliate faculty in the Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy program in the School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a practical theologian combining roles of pastor, chaplain, and therapist. He was called to ministry in 1994 and has served Baptist churches in Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Since 2006 he has served as a chaplain to warriors and their families on four continents with a unique blend of preaching, teaching, counseling, organizational leadership, religious leader engagement, and religious liberty advocacy. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Texas and North Carolina specializing in couples and trauma therapy. He is also an approved supervisor by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
