Bio

Sara Wells is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Old Testament and Assistant Director of Teaching at Fuller Theological Seminary. Her research focuses on the book of Ezekiel’s constructions of group identity, priestly literature in the Hebrew Bible, and evidence based teaching practices and educational technology in higher education. With a background in secondary education and biblical studies, Wells collaborates with faculty on course development and implementing accessible design.

Publications

Her publications include contributions to Bible Odyssey (entry on Ezekiel) and the Lexham Bible Dictionary (entries on Tophet, Hamonah, Oracle, and Tammuz), as well as co-authored works such as Callaway, Lister, and Wells, “Considering Religious Education and Online Pedagogy: The (Trans)Formative Potential of Theological Higher Education,” in The Oxford Handbook of Digital Religion (Oxford University Press, 2024).
