Bio

Tom Bennett is affiliate assistant professor of theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. He completed his PhD in Theology with a minor in New Testament at Fuller in June, 2015. His first book, Labor of God: A Theology of Atonement, was published by Baylor University Press in 2017. Dr. Bennett is husband to Erin and father to Alice, Olivia, and Soren. In addition to teaching, he also preaches most Sundays at Coast Bible Church where he serves as lead pastor.

Publications

Research and publication forms a core component of Bennett’s vocation. In addition to Labor of God, Bennett’s theological commentary, 1-3 John, was published in April, 2021. He is currently working on a sequel to Labor of God. He typically publishes at the intersections of theology and biblical studies with articles and chapters in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes.
