MA IN GLOBAL LEADERSHIP

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The MAGL program is designed for practitioners with at least four years of significant ministry experience (10 hours per week or more) who are actively engaged in a leadership role.

The following are requirements for completing the application process.

ALL APPLICANTS
  • Completed and signed Application for Admission, including:
    • Essay Responses
      • Religious Autobiography
        Your response should convey an accurate current representation of yourself, your Christian experiences, and the relationship of future life goals to your study at Fuller. It will also serve as a writing sample to assist the Admissions Committee in determining academic potential and possible scholarship eligibility.Reflect on your past Christian experience, including the most significant spiritual event/influence in your life, the role of Christ in your religious experience, your involvement in Christian service, and your reason(s) for attending your church. (minimum 250 words; maximum 500 words)
      • Statement of Purpose

        a) Briefly evaluate your personal ministry, identifying perceived strengths as well as areas needing improvement. 
         
        b) What specific aspects of the Master of Arts in Global Leadership program appealed to you?
         

        c) Connecting your responses to a) and b), how do you hope the Master of Arts in Global Leadership program will address the areas you identified as needing improvement? How do you hope the program might sharpen your strengths?

         

      • Statement of Calling
        At this point in your Christian journey, how do you envision your calling to God's mission in the world? (minimum 250 words; maximum 500 words)

    • Resumé of Ministry Experience
      Provide a resumé listing your professional experience which demonstrates that you have at least four years of significant ministry experience (10 hours per week or more) and are actively engaged in a leadership role. Please provide the name of the organization, title of your position, a brief description of duties, and years of employment.
    • Additional Application Questions
    • A $75 nonrefundable application fee (if the application is submitted online)or a $100 nonrefundable application fee (if the application is submitted via paper)
  • Submission of official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended, including a transcript showing a bachelor's degree earned from an accredited institution, with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 or above. Note: all transcripts are evaluated in determining admission to Fuller master's degree programs.
    • If you do not currently hold an accredited bachelor's or master's degree or will not receive an accredited bachelor's or master's degree before the desired term of entry, you may be eligible to apply as a Special Student (not applicable to the MA in Theology or MA in Intercultural Studies degrees). Click here for more information.
  • A pastor or denominational leader reference
